Celebrating 30 Years of Frantic Assembly With a Bold New Play

Frantic Assembly, renowned for their electrifying physical theatre, have announced the cast and tour dates for their 30th anniversary production Lost Atoms – a brand-new play by BAFTA-winning writer Anna Jordan (Succession, Killing Eve). Co-produced with Curve Leicester, Mayflower Southampton and Lyric Hammersmith Theatre, this world premiere promises to be a gripping exploration of love, memory, and relationships.

Lost Atoms opens at Curve Leicester on 22 September 2025 before heading out on a major UK tour.

⭐ Star Casting for Lost Atoms Tour Announced

Leading the cast are Joe Layton (Coronation Street, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) and Hannah Sinclair Robinson (Metamorphosis, The Play That Goes Wrong), both long-standing collaborators with Frantic Assembly.

  • Joe Layton, currently appearing in Coronation Street as Mick Michaelis, returns to Frantic Assembly having previously performed in Othello, Metamorphosis and The Unreturning.

  • Hannah Sinclair Robinson most recently starred as Grete in Metamorphosis and has an impressive stage and screen resume including The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and Eastenders.

What Is Lost Atoms About?

At its heart, Lost Atoms is a story of love – or perhaps the memory of it.

Is it an extraordinary romance that changed everything? Or a typical tale of missed chances and emotional fallout? Told with Frantic Assembly’s trademark physical intensity, Lost Atoms invites audiences to reflect on what makes a relationship truly successful.

Expect a production that’s by turns hilarious and devastating, as two people dig into their shared pasts and spin out into imagined futures. It’s a play about memory, love, loss, and everything in between.
