Join me for my vlog and full review of Singin’ in the Rain at the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester — one of the most joyful, immersive theatre experiences I’ve had in a long time. Set in 1920s Hollywood during the transition from silent films to talkies, Singin’ in the Rain follows movie star Don Lockwood, his best friend Cosmo Brown and aspiring actress Kathy Selden as they navigate fame, creativity and change — with plenty of romance, comedy and iconic songs along the way. Join us for our vlog and review of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at The Lowry, Salford, where we were invited to the press night on Thursday 4th December (gifted tickets). The show was performed in The Lowry’s Lyric Theatre, starting at 7pm, with a total runtime of 2 hours 20 minutes (Act One: 60 minutes, 20-minute interval, Act Two: 50 minutes). The age guide is 6+, and I attended with my husband and our 8-year-old daughter. We were seated in the stalls, Row J, seats 16–18, which offered a fantastic view of the stage. This stage adaptation keeps the heart of the classic Freaky Friday story while giving it a fresh, modern twist. Come with us as we head to The Enormous Crocodile the Musical at The Lowry for a festive family theatre treat 🐊🌿 In this vlog and review, we share our experience attending the press performance on Sunday 14 December (gifted tickets) of Roald Dahl’s much-loved story brought to life on stage. The show started at 10:30am, runs for approximately 55 minutes with no interval, and is designed especially for younger audiences. We were seated in the stalls, row Q, seats 32–35, which offered an excellent view of the stage and plenty of legroom — perfect for families attending with children. This joyful jungle adventure follows a very greedy crocodile who decides that for lunch he’d quite like to eat a child, coming up with lots of “secret plans and clever tricks” along the way. We went to see Shaun the Sheep’s Circus Show, a live family circus production inspired by the beloved Aardman Shaun the Sheep series. This video is our family vlog & review from Aviva Studios in Manchester. We visited on Tuesday 30th December for the 2:30pm performance, and this vlog shares our full experience from arrival to curtain call. ⏱ Show runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes • Act 1 – 40 minutes • Interval – 20 minutes • Act 2 – 40 minutes 🎟 Our seats: Stalls, Row T (Seats 29–32) These seats had an excellent view of the stage and plenty of legroom, which worked really well for a family visit.
