🎭 Announce For Matilda The Musical UK & Ireland Tour
“Sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty...” – and sometimes, a little bit brilliant!
The Royal Shakespeare Company’s smash-hit Matilda The Musical has just announced the full cast for its upcoming UK and Ireland tour – and it’s nothing short of revoltingly exciting!
🌟 A Milestone Moment for a Modern Classic
This year marks an astonishing 15 years since the beloved production first burst onto the stage in Stratford-upon-Avon. Since then, Matilda The Musical has become a global phenomenon, playing to over 12 million people in more than 100 cities, racking up over 100 international awards, and even inspiring a Netflix film adaptation.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, the show is heading back on the road – and Manchester audiences will get to experience the magic up close when Matilda The Musical UK & Ireland Tour lands at the Palace Theatre from 26 March – 25 April 2026.
👧 Who’s Playing Matilda?
The iconic role of Matilda Wormwood will be performed by a talented quartet of young stars: Madison Davis, Mollie Hutton, Olivia Ironmonger, and Sanna Kurihara. Each will bring their own spark to the bold, book-loving heroine with a mighty mind.
In a surprise twist worthy of Matilda herself, Tim Minchin – the show’s legendary composer and lyricist – made a surprise visit to the rehearsal room to meet the young cast.

🎭 Main Cast Revealed
The tour’s main cast includes a mix of familiar favourites and exciting new talent:
Miss Trunchbull – Richard Hurst
Miss Honey – Tessa Kadler
Mr Wormwood – Adam Stafford
Mrs Wormwood – Rebecca Thornhill
Joining them on stage is a brilliant ensemble including Scotty Armstrong, Sam Holden, Portia Jefferies, Caiomhe Judd, Brooke Kelly, Ryan Lay, Cassandra Lee, Samuel Leon, Jordan Maisuria-Wake, Nicole Manumbre, Lizzie Nance, Esther Niles, Jordan Ricketts, Josh Singleton, Bradley Trevethan, Ella Tweed, Ben Tyler and Karen Walker.
The other young performers announced today are: Rudy Bragg, Jacob Connor-Ashton, Charlie Cox, Sylvie Grace, Rose Jammeh, Dottie Jones, Takunda Khumalo, Sana Lennon, Oisin-Luca Pegg, Millie-May Mankowska, Tate Masuku, Leo Maurice, Carter-J Murphy, Jaxon James Nolan, Cole Nicholson, Pixie Pettigrew, Brodie Robson, Haiden Sihapanya and Felix Schmitt.
