Get in, loser — Mean Girls The Musical is going on tour!
It’s official: Mean Girls The Musical is hitting the road for a huge 2026–2027 UK and Ireland tour, and it’s going to be so fetch! After a smash-hit run in the West End, the award-winning production will kick off at Manchester Opera House on 23 February 2026 and travel to theatres across the UK and Ireland through to January 2027.
This isn’t a regular tour. It’s a cool tour.

💖 What’s the Story?
Based on the cult 2004 Paramount Pictures film written by comedy genius Tina Fey, Mean Girls The Musical follows the high school jungle of North Shore High. When home-schooled newbie Cady Heron arrives, she quickly learns that the laws of the wild have nothing on teenage girl politics. Especially when it comes to The Plastics — Regina, Gretchen, and Karen — the ultimate clique.
Armed with zoological knowledge and a plan to dethrone the queen bee, Cady soon realises that high school power games have very real consequences. Expect savage burns, iconic lines, and killer songs in this razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud musical that’s as heartfelt as it is hilarious.

🏆 From Broadway to the West End to YOU
Following its 2018 Broadway debut, Mean Girls wowed audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. The West End production opened at the Savoy Theatre in June 2024 and played to over 330,000 audience members before closing in June 2025 — even taking home Best New Musical at the 2025 WhatsOnStage Awards.
Now, the UK and Ireland tour brings the pink-packed powerhouse of a show to cities nationwide, giving fans another chance to experience the magic, sass, and sparkle live on stage.

🎶 The Creative Dream Team
Mean Girls The Musical features a book by Tina Fey, music by Jeff Richmond, and lyrics by Nell Benjamin. Direction and choreography come courtesy of Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw, known for The Book of Mormon and Aladdin.
With dazzling sets, brilliant costume design by Katrina Lindsay, and a soundtrack full of iconic bops, this is one musical that’s sure to slay.
