✨ A BRAND-NEW LANDMARK PRODUCTION
Landmark Theatres has announced that a dazzling new production of 9 to 5 The Musical will burst onto stages across the UK next summer – marking the organisation’s first-ever in-house production to tour nationally.
The show opens at Peterborough New Theatre on 4 July 2026, before visiting Queen’s Theatre Barnstaple, Blackpool Grand, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford, and Darlington Hippodrome.
Packed with sass, style, and a healthy dose of Dolly Parton magic, this all-new version promises to deliver laughter, big-hearted performances, and a celebration of sisterhood that’s as relevant today as ever.
🎶 THE STORY AND THE MUSIC OF 9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL
Inspired by the hit 1980 film of the same name, 9 to 5 The Musical follows three office workers who’ve had enough of their egotistical, chauvinistic boss. But when their wild revenge plan spirals hilariously out of control, they discover friendship, freedom, and the power of standing up for what’s right.
Featuring a toe-tapping score by country legend Dolly Parton, this feel-good comedy is full of iconic numbers, from the unforgettable title track “9 to 5” to the empowering “Shine Like the Sun.” It’s a show that brings laughter, heart, and plenty of sparkle to the stage – the perfect antidote to the daily grind!
🎭 THE CREATIVE TEAM
Produced by Landmark Theatres by arrangement with Music Theatre International, the 2026 tour will be directed by Paul Jepson, with musical supervision by Mark Crossland, and set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley.
Jepson, who also serves as Landmark’s CEO and Creative Director, said:
