Cult-Favourite Musical Heathers the Musical Returns to the UK for Another Record-Breaking Tour

The cult-favourite Heathers the Musical is officially returning to the UK in Summer 2026, with a brand-new tour that will bring the chaos, comedy, and music of Westerberg High to audiences across the country.

Based on the iconic 1989 film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers the Musical first premiered in Los Angeles in 2013 before transferring to New York’s New World Stages in 2014. The production was reimagined for its 2018 London debut, featuring new songs and updated script elements that are now showcased in the current New York production.

Following three smash-hit West End runs and three record-breaking UK and Ireland tours, Heathers the Musical has firmly cemented its status as a fan-favourite. The show won the 2019 WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical and was filmed for streaming on The Roku Channel in 2022.

UK Fans – Get Ready to Revisit Westerberg High

UK audiences—affectionately known as Corn-Nuts—can look forward to the musical’s return in Summer 2026, with full tour dates to be announced soon. Fans will once again follow Veronica Sawyer as she navigates the cutthroat social world of Westerberg High, under the watchful eyes of the three beautiful yet dangerously cruel Heathers. Enter JD, the mysterious teen rebel, and the stakes are higher than ever in this twistedly heartfelt, black-comedy rock musical.

International Success and Upcoming Tours

In addition to the UK tour, Heathers the Musical will travel to Australia and New Zealand starting April 2026, with stops in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, Perth, Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. The current New York production, which opened in June 2025 at New World Stages, has been extended through 25 January 2026 due to overwhelming demand and record-breaking advance sales.

Looking ahead, the musical will embark on a year-long US tour beginning Spring 2027, bringing the high-octane story of Westerberg High to audiences nationwide.

Heathers the Musical is directed by acclaimed American screen and stage director Andy Fickman, with choreography by Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound by Dan Samson, and musical supervision by Jeremy Wootton and Will Joy. The production is produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd and Paul Taylor-Mills.
