Billy Elliot The Musical UK Tour Announces Full Cast
Full casting has been announced for the Billy Elliot The Musical UK Tour, which begins in November 2026 before visiting venues across the UK and Ireland and returning to the West End for a limited season.
Annette McLaughlin will play Mrs Wilkinson, with Deka Walmsley as Dad, Jack Bandeira as Tony and Lesley Joseph as Grandma.
They join the previously announced Noah Mannion, Rafferty Smale, Spencer Collins and William Gurney, who will share the title role of Billy Elliot, alongside Liam Mower as Older Billy.
The tour opens at Sunderland Empire on 4 November 2026 before visiting Manchester and Edinburgh. It will then return to London's West End for the first time in more than 10 years, with a limited season at the Adelphi Theatre.
Further dates have also been announced for Cardiff, Dublin, Bradford and Bristol, with more touring dates still to be announced.
FULL CAST ANNOUNCED
Annette McLaughlin returns to the role of Mrs Wilkinson after previously playing the part on the last UK and Ireland tour of Billy Elliot. Her West End theatre credits include Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Player Kings, Matilda The Musical, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Twelfth Night, Chicago and Anything Goes.
Deka Walmsley also returns to the role of Dad, having previously played the character in both the West End production and Billy Elliot the Musical Live. His other theatre credits include Macbeth and The Pitmen Painters, while his screen credits include The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe and Vera.
Jack Bandeira will play Tony. His screen credits include Blade Runner 2099, Smoggie Queens, Andor, Black Mirror, Lockwood & Co, The Witcher and Happy Valley.
Lesley Joseph will play Grandma. Best known for playing Dorien Green in Birds of a Feather, her theatre credits include Grandma in The Addams Family, Miss Hannigan in Annie and her Olivier Award-nominated performance as Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein. She has also appeared in Sister Act The Musical and Calendar Girls.
The company also includes Tanesha Aba, Marc Akinfolarin, Natasha J Barnes, Robbie Boyle, Lydia Bradd, Jack Bromage, Jennifer Caldwell, Alex Christian, Adam Crossley, Natalie Durkin, Nathan Elwick, Ian Gareth-Jones, Shirley Jameson, Jenny Legg, Jay Luca Allan, Charlie R Miller, Lewis Mortier, Perry O’Dea, Matt Overfield, Mark Pearce, Aidan Stuart and Lucy Warway.
YOUNG CAST JOIN BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL
Alternating the role of Billy's best friend Michael will be Harper Etienne, aged 10 from Derbyshire; Dalton Jones, aged nine from South Yorkshire; Theo Kamande, aged 12 from London; and Oisin-Luca Pegg, aged 13 from Birmingham.
Lola Cant and Paige Cook, both aged 10 from Durham, and Scarlett Gardener, aged nine from Sunderland, will alternate the role of Debbie.
Playing the Ballet Girls will be Vivien Abreu, Ivy-Rae Battams, Chloe Boyle, Mikeila Buljan-Bakotic, Rose Butler, Ella Collins, Willow Crabtree, Amari Dumbuya, Ava Evans, Daisy-Mae Ford, Kyla Fowles, Lux Hardy, Marian Nguema Ndjondjo, Zizha Nguema Ndjondjo, Jessica Pipe, Eva Ramtohul, Mia Raggio and Anabelle Tran.
They join the previously announced Noah Mannion, aged 13 from Stockport; Rafferty Smale, aged 12 from Leigh-on-Sea; Spencer Collins, aged 13 from California; and William Gurney, aged 13 from Berkshire, who will share the role of Billy.
Liam Mower, who created the role of Billy Elliot when the musical first opened in 2005 and won an Olivier Award for his performance, will play Older Billy.
BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL UK & IRELAND TOUR DATES
The Billy Elliot The Musical UK Tour opens at Sunderland Empire on 4 November 2026, where it will play until 28 November.
It then visits the Palace Theatre Manchester from 2 December 2026 to 9 January 2027, followed by Edinburgh Playhouse from 19 January to 6 February 2027.
The production will then make its first return to the West End in more than 10 years, playing a limited season at the Adelphi Theatre from 12 February to 31 July 2027.
Further tour dates announced include Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff from 10–28 August 2027; Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin from 14 September–9 October 2027; Alhambra, Bradford from 19 October–6 November 2027; and Bristol Hippodrome from 1–26 February 2028.
Further touring dates are set to be announced.
BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL COMES TO MANCHESTER
North West audiences will be able to see Billy Elliot The Musical at the Palace Theatre Manchester over Christmas, with the production running from 2 December 2026 to 9 January 2027.
Among the four young performers sharing the title role is Noah Mannion, aged 13 from Stockport.
Noah trains with Stagebox and began ballet, tap, modern, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acro and singing at the age of nine. In 2025, he represented England at the Dance World Cup and Global Dance Open, winning multiple medals and becoming a Global World Champion.
ABOUT BILLY ELLIOT THE MUSICAL
Based on the multi-BAFTA award-winning and Academy Award-nominated film, Billy Elliot The Musical is set in a northern mining town against the backdrop of the 1984/85 miners' strike.
The story follows Billy's journey from the boxing ring to the ballet class, where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and community and changes his life forever.
Billy Elliot The Musical has been seen by just over 12 million people across five continents and has received more than 85 international awards, including ten Tony Awards and five Olivier Awards.
In 2006, Liam Mower, James Lomas and George Maguire, the first three boys to play Billy, became the youngest performers to win the Olivier Award for Best Actor. The production also won the Olivier Award for Best Musical.
More than 125 boys have now played the title role on stages around the world.
CREATIVE TEAM
Billy Elliot The Musical is brought to the stage by the award-winning creative team behind the film, including writer Lee Hall, who provides the book and lyrics, director Stephen Daldry and choreographer Peter Darling, alongside Elton John, who composed the musical's score.
Scenic design is by Ian MacNeil, costume design by Nicky Gillibrand, lighting design by Rick Fisher, sound design by Paul Arditti and hair, wig and make-up design by Campbell Young.
Musical supervision and orchestrations are by Martin Koch. Simon Pollard is tour director and Jeroen Luiten is associate choreographer.
