Clueless The Musical to Close in London Ahead of 2026 UK TourAfter winning over West End
audiences with its big heart, bold fashion, and banger soundtrack, Clueless The Musical has officially posted closing notices at the Trafalgar Theatre. The final performance will take place on Saturday 23 August 2025, before the show hits the road for a UK tour launching in September 2026, beginning at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre.

From Beverly Hills to Bromley – What’s the 411?
Adapted by Clueless screenwriter and director Amy Heckerling, the musical is based on her iconic 1995 teen comedy (itself a modern-day twist on Jane Austen’s Emma). The show stars Emma Flynn as Cher Horowitz – the well-meaning but totally self-absorbed Beverly Hills matchmaker – alongside Keelan McAuley as the quietly witty Josh.
This new musical version is scored by Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, known for chart-topping hits like “Black Horse and The Cherry Tree” and “Suddenly I See”. Lyrics are penned by Glenn Slater, a Grammy Award winner whose previous work includes Tangled, Sister Act, and School of Rock.
The show is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh (The Great British Bake Off Musical) and choreographed by Lizzi Gee (Groundhog Day), with music supervision and arrangements by Carmel Dean, scenic design by Mikiko Suzuki MacAdams, costumes by Tony Award winner Paloma Young, and lighting by Ben Cracknell.

Totally Adorbs Cast and Critical Buzz
Joining Emma Flynn and Keelan McAuley in the West End cast are:
Chyna-Rose Frederick as Dionne
Romona Lewis-Malley as Tai
Isaac J Lewis as Christian
Rabi Kondé as Murray
Blake Jordan as Travis
Max Mirza as Elton
Emily Florence as Amber
Ryan O’Donnell as Mel / Mr Hall / Driving Instructor
Imelda Warren-Green in a multi-role performance as Miss G / Ms S / Lucy / Heather
This talented team has brought a fresh new vibe to the much-loved story, winning over critics with what The Independent called a “fun and totally fabulous” night out, and Radio Times described as “a non-stop party.”

Say Goodbye, But Not For Long
Although originally booking until March 2026, the show will now finish its West End run on 23 August 2025. Ticket holders for dates after that will be contacted by their point of purchase.
But don’t worry – Cher, Dionne, and the gang are just hopping into their iconic yellow plaid Jeep and heading out on the road! A UK and international tour is in the works, beginning in Bromley in September 2026, with additional plans to bring the show to Mexico City, Australia, Japan, and Europe.

From Screen to Stage – A Cultural Touchstone
It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since the original Clueless movie hit cinemas in 1995, becoming a pop culture phenomenon. From fashion inspo to unforgettable quotes (“Ugh, as if!”), the film has had lasting impact—and the stage musical is giving it a totally new life.
To mark the movie’s anniversary, fans even attended a special cast performance and screening at the Trafalgar Theatre. And let’s not forget the custom yellow plaid Jeep, which made waves across London as the ultimate PR stunt.

What’s Next?
Full tour dates and casting are yet to be announced, but with a stellar creative team and a fierce fan following, this new UK tour is shaping up to be totally essential viewing. Whether you're a nostalgic millennial or a teen experiencing Cher’s charm for the first time, Clueless The Musical is set to delight audiences all over again.
