Six children in colorful, ragged dresses strike a strong pose on stage. A chalkboard reads "A-Sit Up." Bright blue and red lighting. Bold "Annie" text.

Michael Harrison and David Ian have announced that their smash hit production of ANNIE will embark on a UK and Ireland tour, with performances at Manchester Palace Theatre from Thursday 9 – Saturday 20 June 2026.

A LITTLE HISTORY – WHY ANNIE SHINES

Since its Broadway debut in 1977, ANNIE has become one of the world’s most beloved musicals, enchanting generations with its story of hope, resilience, and family. The show has won multiple Tony Awards and remains a timeless favourite, thanks to its unforgettable songs and uplifting message.

THE STORY THAT STOLE OUR HEARTS

Set in 1930s New York during The Great Depression, the story follows young Annie, an orphan who dreams of a brighter future beyond the walls of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Her life changes when she is invited to spend Christmas with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. But with Miss Hannigan determined to ruin Annie’s happiness, audiences can expect twists, laughter, and plenty of heartwarming moments.

SONGS THAT MAKE TOMORROW BRIGHTER

Featuring a Tony Award-winning book and score, audiences can look forward to classics such as “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “I Don’t Need Anything But You,” and, of course, the iconic anthem “Tomorrow.”

This touring production is directed by Curve’s Artistic Director Nikolai Foster, with set and costume design by Colin Richmond, choreography by Nick Winston, lighting by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Richard Brooker.

SAVE THE DATE – MANCHESTER, HERE WE COME!

ANNIE will visit theatres across the UK and Ireland, including a two-week run at the Manchester Palace Theatre from 9–20 June 2026. Further casting and tour dates will be announced soon. For the latest updates, visit www.anniethemusicaltour.uk.
