Clear your calendars and polish your tiaras – The Diana Mixtape is heading to Salford this August, and it promises to be the most fabulous night out of the summer! Following a glittering world premiere in London, this high-octane, musical-meets-concert spectacular arrives at The Lowry from Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 August 2025.
Equal parts theatre, concert and camp celebration, The Diana Mixtape is a fierce, funny, and heartfelt tribute to the People's Princess – with a pop soundtrack that’s fit for royalty.
The People’s Princess Takes Centre Stage
Forget everything you think you know about royal biographies. In this glitter-drenched reimagining, Princess Diana is re-cast as the ultimate pop diva, telling her story through the music of Britney, Gaga, Dua Lipa, Ariana, Kylie and more.
Yes, you read that right – all your favourite female pop powerhouses are in the mix, turning Di’s life into the ultimate breakup album. Think West End musical meets Beyoncé’s Coachella set with a dash of Buckingham Palace drama.
All Hail the Queens – An All-Star Cast
The Diana Mixtape is dripping in drag and theatre royalty. Taking on the role of Diana (yes, multiple Dianas!) are a lineup of international drag superstars: Courtney Act, Rosé, Divina De Campo, Kitty Scott-Claus, and Priyanka, winner of Canada’s Drag Race.
They’re joined by Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman, Wicked, & Juliet) as a commanding Queen Elizabeth II, Noel Sullivan (We Will Rock You) as King Charles III, and Lucinda Lawrence as the indomitable Queen Camilla.
With support from an ensemble of West End talent – Ashton Bradley, Henry Chatfield, Jordan Jewel, Theo Simpson, and Leo Udvarlaky – the show’s energy is infectious from curtain up to curtain call.
From the Creator of Death Drop and Gals Aloud
The brainchild of Christopher D. Clegg (creator/producer of Death Drop, Cool Rider, Gals Aloud), this production is a glittering love letter to Diana, blending pop culture, queer joy and theatrical flair into a one-of-a-kind experience.
With fabulous choreography by Taz Hoesli, live musical direction and arrangements by Matthew Harvey, and dazzling designs by River Smith (costumes) and River Medway (wigs), the creative team has crafted a show that’s bold, beautiful, and brimming with brilliance.
