About the show

Waitress is based on the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, and a book by Jessie Nelson. The production is directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus, with choreography by Lorin Latarro.

The musical tells the story of Jenna, a talented pie maker trapped in a loveless marriage who dreams of a better life. With the help of her fellow waitresses and a local baking contest, Jenna must find the courage to take control of her future.

Since opening on Broadway in 2016, Waitress has enjoyed global success, with productions across the US, UK, Japan, Europe and beyond, and is now celebrating 10 years of production worldwide.
